- The owner did not like his old systems.
- Stock reports for his main customers were built by hand, and cost per thousand board feet was checked by hand.
- Carrying cost grows every night the wood sits, so he needed a live number.
What we built
- Order to truck release. One place to track an order from purchase order to truck release.
- A live cost. Weighted average cost per thousand board feet, checked against his own math.
- Customer stock reports. A 90-day lookback, sent as PDFs on weekdays.
- A web app on the same workflow. Purchase orders, sales orders, active orders, truck release and quotations.
- Offers that write themselves. A sales order creates the offer PDF and the confirmation email for the customer.
What changed
Reports he built by hand now go out on their own, on weekdays.
Cost and profit per board foot match his manual checks.
The web app has run alongside the sheets since Aug 2026.
